San Vicente del Raspeig will host a new edition of its traditional Bobbin Lace Gathering and Exhibition, an event dedicated to showcasing this delicate and painstaking craft and bringing together enthusiasts, artisans and visitors around the tradition of lace-making.
In 2026, the town of Alicante will celebrate the 3rd Bobbin Lace Gathering and 22nd Bobbin Lace Exhibition, an opportunity to discover this traditional craft technique up close, which forms part of the cultural heritage and popular traditions.
- Bobbin Lace Exhibition
The exhibition can be visited from 11 to 20 September 2026 at the Exhibition Hall of the Social Centre, located at C/ Cervantes, 10.
The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, 11 September at 7:00 p.m., marking the beginning of an exhibition where visitors will be able to admire different pieces and creations made using this traditional technique.
- 3rd Bobbin Lace Gathering
The main event will take place on Sunday, 20 September, with a gathering of participants and enthusiasts in the Avenida de la Libertad and Plaza de España area.
- Time: 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
It will be a special opportunity to discover the world of bobbin lace, learn about the work of its artisans and enjoy the atmosphere of a day devoted to this expression of traditional craftsmanship.
